I chose this artist and display because of the size and message. This being his largest installation with over 900 pieces on three different floors was really impressive to me. I've walked through many museums with numerous floors but I've never seen three floors dedicated to one artist. Also, I really like how Pettibon is using his work to convey such an important message, especially today. Focusing on post war American politics, Middle East conflicts, and religion, he lends his talent to pressing issues at hand today in our very lives.
