Art Nouveau- Louis Comfort Tiffany

This lamp was made by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the early 1900s. It is made out of bronze and leaded favrile glass. The bottom of the lamp is constructed of lily pads and the stem leads straight up to the flowers. I enjoyed just the organic feel to this piece. I liked how the dark colors are at the top and go lighter once you get to the bottom of the flower. Your eyes cascade down to the bottom because of the irregular border. Lamps like this remind me of my grandma.
