Ai Weiwei 2016: Roots and Branches

I chose this by Ai Weiwei because of how pretty trees are but not only with life but with death. This is a nice presentation of one of the darker aspects of life, death. These nine large-scale iron casts of tree trunks punctuate the airy white cube, preserving the Asian spiritual tradition of collecting dry fragments of trees.
