Above is one of Basquiat's paintings, called Untitled (Yellow tar and feathers). Sold by a private collector, a high estimate of twenty million dollars was anticipated. However, the piece ended up being sold for well above the asking price: ultimately it went for $25,925,000 - almost six million above asking. Although the piece owned by Clayton is a drawing rather than a painting, the pattern of Basquiat's works traditionally going for hefty prices remains.
